Then you wake up with the 'oh GOD, I need to delete it because it was too bitchy, and I can't be bothered with the ensuing argument. I may or may not, even after realising that it was just a dream, checked to make sure that that journal did not exist, and that I never commented on it.

I don't even know why dream!self was commenting on that, I barely know the persons involved, nor have I ever exchanged words with them. The drama was though, entirely plausible, and I was in full agreeance with the 'mean' side.

Right. On that note, I am going to have a lovely strong coffee, and some malteasers for breakfast. :)

As for shoes, Bloom did shoes-as-an-accessorie pack to fit in with his/her sexyfeet series, but it was only sandals, unfortunately. Its a nice idea, but all outfits would have to be made sexyfeet compatible, THEN convert whatever shoes onto his mesh...then there wouldn't be 124502q9q09.1 meshes with boot replacements on GoS. craicraicrai.

Ah, anatomy fail. There was a contest at...Simmuse? Based on basically getting yer peen/tits owt. The subsequential body-dysmorphic horror of anatomy fail showing up and the drama that ensued in comments, which, I'm ashamed to say, did involve me, was ridiculous. Its still ridiculous. It will always be ridiculous. I admit to sometimes going on Certain People's flickrs when I'm down to have a laugh (I am awful) but a select few are pretty good. I love curly meshes, and I would love love love to learn to convert ready-made hairs from Pos(u?)er, but ha, not going to arr a game just for that. Or learn. DAMN YOU LAZINESS (the same reason I don't put the effort into already-made curly meshes, but now I have your curly sims2heaven texture that might all change MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...ha).

I think I would download your mesh, just because you made it, even if it were dreads *gasp*. I could make an ethnic sim in your honour (or just a white sim who decided to get their hair dreaded in the name of an alternative lifestyle, and then later regrets it when they realise caucasian hair should not be dreaded. srsly.)

What kind of sims do you usually make? Somehow I see your game being all neon, from furnishings to eyes and hair, obv, so I can imagine your born in game kids are like crayola crayons in a box only not, as this is an absurd metaphor and it ends here. Breeding is probably the most interesting aspect of the game for me (along with creating, and less so actually playing); as many legacies and stories I've read, as well as pictures I've seen, ect., after a while it becomes a blur...but the algorithyms and testing involved in breeding sims (not to mention the cute little squeelets) never gets old. :D I've had some truly, truly hideous sims; but I've had some pretty ones too, if I do say so myself.

XD, you know you love me :D I will rip out those meshes for you when I get home. It's no good asking me if it would look good in neons, I think everything should be neoned. I would pooklet my IRL room if I could. I think the world would have less miserable arseholes if there were moar neons. BUT ANYWAY.

I'm not sure if the bangle is meshed on, I've not looked. I think it might be though :/ The H&M pack is wierd, at first glance it is full of withering fail but there is a surpisingly large amount of potential in there. Bloom's shoe idea is an excellent one, 'side from the problems you mentioned, plus I'm not sure whether doing boots would not involve a shitload of messing about with bone assignments to kill the clipping. I would have liked to see how tutu boy's transmuters worked (and whether they were made of clippy clippy fail) but I never did like those damn transmuters. cyber boots FTW!

...dear god, I don't know whether that contest would have been horrific, or hysterically funny. It sure as hell boggles the mind. Drawn on peens are SRS BNS I take it? I see no problem with vistiting Certain People's flickr's for a laugh. Curly meshes are awesome, and there is not nearly enough of them. I've never really looked into converting stuff from poser - the poser people scare the hell out of me. Seriously. I think that's part of the reason I dislike TS3 is that they remind me of poser figures. Link me to a few good ones though, I can always pull them apart in Maya and at least use them as reference. I wanna mesh them from scratch, partly because of HOLYSHITHIGHPOLY, partly for bragging rights, but mostly because low poly modelling is a skill I can use to obtain a job XD

ROFL, I think my facination for dreads comes from the fact that my hair is so utterly caucasian and undreadable it's not funny. I never used to even be able to plait it without the holder slipping out. I mostly came up with this character to force me to learn how to draw a person with facial features that were not generic white person 1083573. She grew on me from there.

My game is a bizzare mismash of every style out there. There is a shitload of neon though. My last neighbourhood (that sadly died in a BFBVFS) had er, four simultaenous rainbow legacies running. Believe me, the Crayola crayon box is less of an absurd metaphor than you think it is XD I may or may not have a list of all the crayola crayon colours for naming purposes. I also kinda extended said rainbow legacy to have twelve colours and generations, just to have moar colours.

The breeding part is great fun, and the algorithyms are pretty damn good for a game. I wish they were a little more complex (I'd love to have certain traits passed down through a gender line or some such thing) I think that's another reason TS3 pisses me off, they completely scrapped a good system for a shitbox simple one. RAEG. I hate the fact that if you change a sims haircolour, the new dyejob becomes genetic and gets passed down through the family.

The problem with hideous sims, is that the little bastards grow on you. I actually scrapped my old pretty PT set for a set that has the original maxian alien faces to get a variety of wierd. I blame SHWC for that.

I don't really play sims three, really...I had a family where their generation 1 daughter got to teen, but that's it. I have a friend whose third/fourth gen siblings all had yellow eyes, where there were no yellow eyes in the family at all before. She loves it. It would drive me mad. I like genetics as they aaarreee. I read someone's legacy where they had the 'family chin', and every sim had a long chin from their founders, even through to gen 10. Odd, but fascinating; I had a similar situation where all my sim's babies had a lip thing they did just after having a bottle. Very very cute. I wish there was a genetic 'body' factor too, like sims could have more change of becoming fat if their parents were, the same with height, ect. :(

I've noticed that all my furnishings are turning neon at a terrifying pace. First the walls, then the floors, now the eyebrows and furniture. 0_0 There is not much hope left for minimalism. Or for sanity. It's GREAT.

Everyone took that contest really, really seriously, even though most people there are teenage girls. I think one person even said they couldn't bring themself to google a reference picture, so they drew it by hand...yeah, that'd work. Great idea. And the genitals couldn't be 'hard' so you had flaccid and semi-flaccid penises at about 9 and 10 inches long. Practically touching the guy's knees. But you can't point out that when he got a hard-on he'd impale his brain through his eyesocket. That's just not how editing communities work, I think.

If you give me a day or two I'll dredge up the simposing/franking examples. It was basically a challenge to see who could make the sexiest porn pose. Very, very NSFW. My friend won, actually, so I hope she's still got the .pngs...Franking: 1, Simposing: 0.

I periodically play it, and then get enraged at how great the ideas were and how piss poor the excution was. Then it crashes which enrages me further, and I go back and play TS2 to make me happy.

I think the technical term, according to MATY as to the eyeball colour phenomon in your friend's game is an 'asspull' It pisses me off too. (The genetic body size in TS3 is one of the few things I like...if the shape was a little better anyway. I used to have a bunch of bodyshapes in game with the linked skintones genetised, but it became something of a crapshoot, and then the few things of clothing for them were hideous)

Rainbow legacies are fun :D The only fiddly part is figuring out names that match the colour of that gen, and finding enough content of a colour to deck out a sim. You definately should try one. I started to post one of mine once, but the game died at that point, and nobody in my hood had any knowledge of eachother. I took that as a sign of imminent implosion and started afresh. Ms. Dreadfalls? You will have to refresh my memory there XD

Hee, it's good, am still a student (one who may or may not be slacking off right about now ;) ) but I finsish in November, and then oh, hai, real job tiem. Hopefully I can get one within the industry :D And the more I learn to model and texture from scratch, especially for a game that requires lower polygon models than say for feature films, the better :D And hey, I already have a game I can fling my practice attemps in :D

Ehh, caucasian hair can be dreaded (I've seen some gorgeous examples of it, ones that I have happily saved for reference purposes XD), it just takes a shitlload more work, which greatly decreases the amount of people who do it properly. I more lol at the people who dread their hair thinking that it is low mantenaince and that they won't have to wash it, and have them fail heartily.

The one thing I loved in TS3 was the landscape. Rivertown (?) especially, with all the um, water. And shit. No, just water. I like the way the guy's looked as well, as I had (still have) lots of trouble making attractive menfolk in-game, but it was the opposite in ts3: women were hard to make while men were easy.

I used to have the contraversial anorexic bodyshape in my game, but mostly because it was contraversial. I don't really use them, tbh, as they remind me of dl mulsow's forum :/. I like the androdgeny bodyshape but right now the clothes linked to it are not to my taste. I keep meaning to permanantly change my sims' heights in SimPE but I keep forgetting to work out the algorithym. Plus, as a tall woman myself, I like my girls to be able to win in a fight.

You'd be surprised what pictures they start off with before editing - sometimes they show the 'befores' (I think Bailey does). Usually its just a green wall and floor in a certain pose, with a bald sim in no clothes or make-up. I bet they have very little CC, really, just a collection of festering Jirka skins. And that's just the frankers - Simposers actually don't need the game, in theory. Its crazy.

Simposers and frankers hate each other. Idek why. They just do. Long-running rivalry. Most frankers who host contests ban simpose, and vice versa. Its a shism.

I think I might try a rainbow legacy ontop of the asylum challenge I'm already playing (with those neon-skinned sims everyone is tired of by now :D). I'm not really sure of the rules but I'll probably break them anyway...

Riverview was pretty yes - though I kinda wish the lighting was less saturated and blue. I missed TS2 lighting. I don't mind making sims in it either, though I miss the angular bits on TS2 sims. I wish that there was some kind of unholy hybrid between the games that keep all the awesome from both, and trashed the fail.

I never had that one but I had the RenGal and the Fashion Model by Warlokk (they were the least failtastic of them all), and I rather like the androdgeny shape too, but like you, I don't like the clothing. I've never tried the stretch skeleton cheat - I don't know whether I'd notice it ... plus I'm a shorty myself XD

She is from a strange half fantasy half sci fi universe (originating in a really, really nerdy fandom) but that I've changed to be less wierd and moar logical, is a fire elemental/mage and likes assimilating random people into an extended family. I wish someone like Pes would make an unholy hybrid, but he's not Jesus XD I actually like some parts of TS3 fixed by Pescado (landscape, aging), which I think they could fit pretty well into TS2. I really think they were hasty with the release; most people I know (bar 3 or 4) have gone back to TS2 eventually.

Yeah, they are a bit intense. The story potential there is tempting though (the first sims story I ever tried was a post apocolypse Strangetown where about a third of the town survived in a bunker. Great fun that)

Imagine the Christian faith if Pes had been Jesus...or Jesus had been Pes-ish. The world would be an even scarier place XD He has made a huge improvment to the game though yes. If I could change the lighting and bits of how the CC in TS3 works, it would be great. I would turn it onto TS2 aging and nuke the more irritating bits of story mode for my sims, and let the town go crazy around me. (Along with a bunch of other stuff, but that's up there with my pet peeves. I want different eyes and skins dammit! Also give me back my genetics!)
