...you have a dream about the sims community, and a large wankfest within, and in your dream, you leave rather a bitchy comment.

Then you wake up with the 'oh GOD, I need to delete it because it was too bitchy, and I can't be bothered with the ensuing argument. I may or may not, even after realising that it was just a dream, checked to make sure that that journal did not exist, and that I never commented on it.

I don't even know why dream!self was commenting on that, I barely know the persons involved, nor have I ever exchanged words with them. The drama was though, entirely plausible, and I was in full agreeance with the 'mean' side.

Right. On that note, I am going to have a lovely strong coffee, and some malteasers for breakfast. :)

I don't really play sims three, really...I had a family where their generation 1 daughter got to teen, but that's it. I have a friend whose third/fourth gen siblings all had yellow eyes, where there were no yellow eyes in the family at all before. She loves it. It would drive me mad. I like genetics as they aaarreee. I read someone's legacy where they had the 'family chin', and every sim had a long chin from their founders, even through to gen 10. Odd, but fascinating; I had a similar situation where all my sim's babies had a lip thing they did just after having a bottle. Very very cute. I wish there was a genetic 'body' factor too, like sims could have more change of becoming fat if their parents were, the same with height, ect. :(

I've noticed that all my furnishings are turning neon at a terrifying pace. First the walls, then the floors, now the eyebrows and furniture. 0_0 There is not much hope left for minimalism. Or for sanity. It's GREAT.

Everyone took that contest really, really seriously, even though most people there are teenage girls. I think one person even said they couldn't bring themself to google a reference picture, so they drew it by hand...yeah, that'd work. Great idea. And the genitals couldn't be 'hard' so you had flaccid and semi-flaccid penises at about 9 and 10 inches long. Practically touching the guy's knees. But you can't point out that when he got a hard-on he'd impale his brain through his eyesocket. That's just not how editing communities work, I think.

If you give me a day or two I'll dredge up the simposing/franking examples. It was basically a challenge to see who could make the sexiest porn pose. Very, very NSFW. My friend won, actually, so I hope she's still got the .pngs...Franking: 1, Simposing: 0.

I periodically play it, and then get enraged at how great the ideas were and how piss poor the excution was. Then it crashes which enrages me further, and I go back and play TS2 to make me happy.

I think the technical term, according to MATY as to the eyeball colour phenomon in your friend's game is an 'asspull' It pisses me off too. (The genetic body size in TS3 is one of the few things I like...if the shape was a little better anyway. I used to have a bunch of bodyshapes in game with the linked skintones genetised, but it became something of a crapshoot, and then the few things of clothing for them were hideous)

Neon furniture you say? Awesome :D I was actually thinking of retexturing some old ATS sets and then attacking them with a certain set of actions. I reckon it'll look pretty cool if I can pull it off.

Rainbow legacies are fun :D The only fiddly part is figuring out names that match the colour of that gen, and finding enough content of a colour to deck out a sim. You definately should try one. I started to post one of mine once, but the game died at that point, and nobody in my hood had any knowledge of eachother. I took that as a sign of imminent implosion and started afresh. Ms. Dreadfalls? You will have to refresh my memory there XD

Hee, it's good, am still a student (one who may or may not be slacking off right about now ;) ) but I finsish in November, and then oh, hai, real job tiem. Hopefully I can get one within the industry :D And the more I learn to model and texture from scratch, especially for a game that requires lower polygon models than say for feature films, the better :D And hey, I already have a game I can fling my practice attemps in :D

Ehh, caucasian hair can be dreaded (I've seen some gorgeous examples of it, ones that I have happily saved for reference purposes XD), it just takes a shitlload more work, which greatly decreases the amount of people who do it properly. I more lol at the people who dread their hair thinking that it is low mantenaince and that they won't have to wash it, and have them fail heartily.

Yup. It entertains me, even if I do want Jayne to bog off in a saucer and not come back.
