Then you wake up with the 'oh GOD, I need to delete it because it was too bitchy, and I can't be bothered with the ensuing argument. I may or may not, even after realising that it was just a dream, checked to make sure that that journal did not exist, and that I never commented on it.

I don't even know why dream!self was commenting on that, I barely know the persons involved, nor have I ever exchanged words with them. The drama was though, entirely plausible, and I was in full agreeance with the 'mean' side.

Right. On that note, I am going to have a lovely strong coffee, and some malteasers for breakfast. :)

The one thing I loved in TS3 was the landscape. Rivertown (?) especially, with all the um, water. And shit. No, just water. I like the way the guy's looked as well, as I had (still have) lots of trouble making attractive menfolk in-game, but it was the opposite in ts3: women were hard to make while men were easy.

I used to have the contraversial anorexic bodyshape in my game, but mostly because it was contraversial. I don't really use them, tbh, as they remind me of dl mulsow's forum :/. I like the androdgeny bodyshape but right now the clothes linked to it are not to my taste. I keep meaning to permanantly change my sims' heights in SimPE but I keep forgetting to work out the algorithym. Plus, as a tall woman myself, I like my girls to be able to win in a fight.

You'd be surprised what pictures they start off with before editing - sometimes they show the 'befores' (I think Bailey does). Usually its just a green wall and floor in a certain pose, with a bald sim in no clothes or make-up. I bet they have very little CC, really, just a collection of festering Jirka skins. And that's just the frankers - Simposers actually don't need the game, in theory. Its crazy.

Simposers and frankers hate each other. Idek why. They just do. Long-running rivalry. Most frankers who host contests ban simpose, and vice versa. Its a shism.

I think I might try a rainbow legacy ontop of the asylum challenge I'm already playing (with those neon-skinned sims everyone is tired of by now :D). I'm not really sure of the rules but I'll probably break them anyway...

Ah, thanks for clearing up the dreads for me ;) I actually researched loads about hair when I wanted to dye mine, and every site told me that if a hairdresser told you they could dread it, they were lying. XD

Riverview was pretty yes - though I kinda wish the lighting was less saturated and blue. I missed TS2 lighting. I don't mind making sims in it either, though I miss the angular bits on TS2 sims. I wish that there was some kind of unholy hybrid between the games that keep all the awesome from both, and trashed the fail.

I never had that one but I had the RenGal and the Fashion Model by Warlokk (they were the least failtastic of them all), and I rather like the androdgeny shape too, but like you, I don't like the clothing. I've never tried the stretch skeleton cheat - I don't know whether I'd notice it ... plus I'm a shorty myself XD

Ah, my bad. Dense moment there. Ms Dreadlocks is known as Aili. Ailidh really, but she will set you on fire if you call her that. She is from a strange half fantasy half sci fi universe (originating in a really, really nerdy fandom) but that I've changed to be less wierd and moar logical, is a fire elemental/mage and likes assimilating random people into an extended family. She has issues like that.

Yeah, I think I've seen the before pictures and boggled at the nothing there. It is wierd - and aaarrrgh, wtf is with them and Jirka skins??

I remember simpose from the TS1 days, only then it could be used to put custom animations back into the game. Those were fucking awesome times. And hey, what is a subsection of the Greater Sims Community without some kind of violent rivalry? XD MOAR FIGHT and all that.

Ha, the only Legacy rules I follow are no money cheats, and 10 generations via townies. I cbf with all the other fuckery. I wouldn't mind giving a Apocolypse challange a go, that has some crazy arse rules.

I've seen the rules for the Apololypse Challenge and a part of me shrivelled up at the thought. 0_0 Idk how there is room for fun with all that multitasking.

I wish someone like Pes would make an unholy hybrid, but he's not Jesus XD I actually like some parts of TS3 fixed by Pescado (landscape, aging), which I think they could fit pretty well into TS2. I really think they were hasty with the release; most people I know (bar 3 or 4) have gone back to TS2 eventually.

I think with all the poseboxes out there there isn't an excuse for simpose or franking anymore 0_0 sure have fun with filters or whatever, but butchering sims in the name of aesthetics is an oxymoron.

Yeah, they are a bit intense. The story potential there is tempting though (the first sims story I ever tried was a post apocolypse Strangetown where about a third of the town survived in a bunker. Great fun that)

Imagine the Christian faith if Pes had been Jesus...or Jesus had been Pes-ish. The world would be an even scarier place XD He has made a huge improvment to the game though yes. If I could change the lighting and bits of how the CC in TS3 works, it would be great. I would turn it onto TS2 aging and nuke the more irritating bits of story mode for my sims, and let the town go crazy around me. (Along with a bunch of other stuff, but that's up there with my pet peeves. I want different eyes and skins dammit! Also give me back my genetics!)

Nah, not quite as nerdy as WoW, but most certainly up there :)

I know, and it's really not hard to make new poseboxes either (well the pose bit anyway, that bit of simPe baffles me no end. I like tinkering with maxian poses more anyway. There are some lulzy things in there)

I don't read many, I tend to pick one or two really good ones and stick with them. SHWC is excellent, and I know you already read electorate. I also stalk Alle for updates on her rainbow legacy, it's pretty damn good too.

I'm an atheist and was brought up in a pretty relaxed "CofE" manner, so I can't say I've experienced the scary parts (or even non-scary parts) of Christianity; however, from my observations of Pescado, it would not be the Holy trinity rather than the Holy Trifecta of Moar, Moar and MOARRRRR Fight. The world would be an awful place. 0_0 I actually won TS3 in a competition, so I couldn't bring myself to completely uninstall it from my computer. I still have Saved Games and stuff. I think...when it gets better, maybe next year or whenever, I will play it again. I mean, can you remember what TS2 was like a few months after release? (Well, I wasn't in the comm then, BUT I KNOW THE FACTS AELIA.)

I am sort of glad so many people have moved onto TS3; I mean, its really sad, but its sort of a more DIY sims 2 feel now. People are actually making their own CC instead of there being, say, a dozen popular creators. Its fun! I do miss Certain People's creations though. :(

I've been ill for about a year, out of education, and its affected my concentration and motivation a lot, so much so I can't even read a book anymore, which is sad...But hey! I will give SHWC a go...though I often feel put off by really popular stories. 0_0 What do you like best about it?

You did? I got my copy off M:/ at the TAFE's (M drive is the student drive, one which the teachers cannot access. Thus, it's turned into a mini torrent system, where most everyone chucks their stuff up for everyone else to grab. It's a hell of a lot of fun) I still have my saved sims and downloads (I don't even play the fucking game all that much and I can't resist downloading things for it! I need to get out moar) around for playing here and there.

I dunno, things were still pretty shiney back then during the early days. MTS2 had cracked recolouring - oh those first recolours, I think the first I ever got was this appalling red and black goff crib. It was fucking awesome though. I used that SoB everywhere - and was starting on meshes, even before uni had come out. (oh the first days of ep-readiness!). Perhaps I am looking back with rose coloured glasses at fifteen!aelia rather then the cynical bitch I am now XD

I think though that a vacation EP as the first EP was a piss poor idea. I would have been in the Nightlife camp myself. Could you imagine the city with TS3 graphics? Shiney.

I'm pretty ambivalent about people moving from 2 to 3... on one hand, it did drain (mostly) the TS2 comm of all the pain in the arse twelve year olds, and left all the cool people, but on the same token, several creators that I rather liked have moved on, plus it was kinda sad watching the TS1 comms and sites wither away. Do not want again. I miss that old shit like crazy.

(I never really noticed the dozen or so creators bit, but maybe that's just 'cause I just potter along at my own speed doin' my own thing. I don't even much care about the comments, I'm in it for seeing my shit in other people's games)

You should give it a go though, it is rather good. She's really fleshed out the Strangetown characters (and a stack of others form the other 'hood), more and better than anyone else has. And it has many easter eggs, and a lot of meta. I am a whore for both easter eggs and meta. And aliens.

I write both prolifically and poorly. None of it is fit for human consumption, save for a very good friend of mine who is also part of the aforementioned insane fandom, who tweaks it and then posts it up as part of the looooong running fanficish thing she and I write. (or rather, she writes, and I slow her down by taking longer for less. I'm suprised she's not killed me or something yet XD)

I posted on sim_scenes too, but as I was getting into it, my game started to go woozy, and even though its repaired now (OH HELLO PERSON WHO MADE THAT HAPPEN ;D) i never really got back into the swing of things. I feel quite bad about it actually. I think you'd love it. There's a very nice community atmosphere, akin to being snugged long and hard by a kitten made of sunshine (btw; rec - check out Yuxi's Malrennan Fall entries if you haven't already).

My bff in the sims community really loves XM meshes; her favourite hair mesh is a curly/bushy one from 2007, which I was planning to retexture for her birthday but I didn't do in-time. Your sims2heaven textures/alphas will go towards that and hopefully a happy ending :D

There some sick compulsion that compells me to retexture pay hairs. I do like free hairs, don't get me wrong, but I love the idea of redistrubing something. Plus, if rose is anything to go by, her pay meshes are actually much nicer than her free ones by default (I'm currently half-heartedly attempting to Pooklet 5-7 rose hairs on top of everything else, and her free ones are ABSOLUTE HELL ON EARTH). Plus, with new ones, its like a race to see who can do them first. Or maybe that's just me. Its probably just me.

Ha, it's not really about everything The story arc for the fandom goes in years (the last one was three years long ><) so we start off writng to the story line and 'cause it takes so long it gets mutated and wierd. (the current one involves a kind of war on the main planet while the demigod/one of the main character's father got zapped off to a desert planet (no there are no sandworms...sadly XD) and is attempting to get back so as to kick the main bad guy's arse)

XM meshes are fun, if wierd and fucking frustrating as hell someimes (particularly with her fucked up as hell elderstages!) Which hair is it? Poke me and I will actually send you the goddamned curly hair texture in it's unadulterated form.

Even with your fantabulous alpha/texture its going to be difficult, I think. Its just so old. It animates like strips of fly paper stuck to nosehair. I got so frustrated with it I straightened the alphas just to spite it, and got a good lol out of that.

I generally have a big project (defaults, pookleting rose hairs, fixing rose clothes ect.) then do bits and pieces i want, then i take one requests, then a new mesh comes out, ect. ect. its probably on a scale of 'hum' to 'fuck me with a shovel in the eye'. then i feel shitty when people do stuff i've spent ages on, or if i never get something finished, ect, which is probably on the scale of 'WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY'.

So I decided to (stupidly) compress my project folder all at once. Only 240 files to go! Will re-rar and upload when done. I was stupidly pissed that Shannigan's glasses don't work for me, and those cat eye ones were so awful, but I do like how Tamo's came out actually. Maybe I will come round to Maxis match...maybe not genetics-wise though.

There's some great maxis match stuff out there, it's worth looking into...some of the genetics do leave a lot to be desired (Phobia's eyes and Simgaroop's hair retextures are good for that kind of thing though)
