when trying to describe the size a bruise, you say it's about 600 pixels square.

(Ice skating. Need I say more? I would have been fine if I had only fallen the once, but I did so twice and landed on the EXACT same spot. In future, I'm sticking to roller blading!)

(This is mostly for guilt-tripping myself into doing so, otherwise it'll be ANOTHER month before I get around to it!)

- update of curly XM hair with new Pooklet texture + colours
- Raon 34 with Punkchique's textures and Pooklet's colours
- Rockabilly dresses in Pooklet's new colours
- Half the Truth dresses + docs redone with my and Pooklet's colours
- recolours and teen conversion (fuck yes! I finally managed to make a decent, working teen version of SOMETHING) of several of Jesstheex's dress on a bottom mesh outfits (you know the ones :P)
-recolours of various Amaryll/Fanseelamb male meshes in experimental autumn/jewel colours

Dear F/reading list, feel free to nag, threaten and cajole me until I fucking get off my arse and upload these things ;)

Yay...?

...So apparently I have a job now :) Nothing spectacular, couple of hours in the afternoon for a couple of days a week in a gift store, but shit, I am glad to have something.

Not that there is much point because I ventured into the Valley on Wednesday and found something of a holy grail - a wool/yarn shop that was NOT SPOTLIGHT (FUCK YES NON CHAIN STORES!) and had plain, brightly coloured wool of a awesome quality, which is surprisingly hard to find. I very nearly went crazy.

(Tangled Yarns is the place if you're a fellow Brisbanite :D Well worth the look in)

Now to find a way to make monies out of this drawing thing, work out a tropfest entry idea, GET FUCKING CRACKING ON SAME, and the like. I am going to be a success at this shit, dammit, if it kills me.

Rambling Aelia is rambling. I am off to bed before I make a bigger arse of myself.

(Sims related: just haven't been in the mood lately. I'll get over it, I've not been in the mood for much lately. I hate winter (all four days of it; and in queensland to boot, but still), I hate this gloomy weather, and I really hate this getting dark at four rubbish. Blagh)

Utterly random, but I might just get lucky - would anyone out there know where I might obtain a parasol frame? Preferably from a company from which I might open a wholesale account, but anywhere is bloody welcome. I've been having a lot of fun crocheting delicate lacy-type things lately, but I'm not really into delicate, lacy shawls or the like.

However I *do* like lacy parasols, and why buy something when I can (theoretically) make it?

I would be incredibly grateful if someone could point me in the right direction?

I'm in your inbox, spaming up your reading page -

Does anyone out there have a saved copy of Nixy's repository tutorial that they could send me? I can't get any further in what I am doing without it, and the one on MTS does my head in.

Never mind, both [Bad username or unknown identity: (I have no idea why my text has suddenly gone red :|)]

Shit...

Okay self, the next time you think that fucking about with your tablet settings is a good idea?

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

You will spend the next four hours teeth-gnashing in rage as you try and get it back to the settings that, y'know, work.

And I swear these nibs don't last as long as they used to.

And...I am in the process of setting up a art/animation based journal on here for me to dump sketchy type wips and such that don't really belong on my DA or that I don't wish to be seen by various RL friends until they're done and dusted.

That and silly little animation type things while I try and sort out a) a job in said field and b) a Tropfest entry.

[personal profile] aelia_art if you're interested :) It'll likely as not start off with some crappy gestural/pose maniacs drawings, but I gotta start somewhere.

If you are of the variety of person disinterested in Fluffy Overlords, leave now or forever hold your peace )

Still working on the flowers, even if I have been distracted by vases in which to put flowers in (somebody tell me not to even think about making things look like glass, please?...of course seeing as though TSR is made of suck and fail it does not matter that once again I fail at monthly deadlines ><), obsessively makings hats IRL and equally obsessively and somewhat embarrassingly, playing Harvest Moon. It is a hilariously wierd game, though I kinda wish they'd stuck with the HMDS/Cute pixel graphics. I miss pixel games.

BRB, sleeping off the last of this fucking lurgy.

Help?

Would a couple of you wonderful people care to test out my daffodil meshes for me? So far they are working perfectly well within my game, but after rebuilding the packages about six times for my various stupidities (everything from forgetting the shadows, to trying to work out just why the slave meshes won't accept recolours) I'd like to have someone else try it in a totally different game.

The zip should contain five files, four mesh files and one (uncompressed) recolour. The meshes are master/slaved to the best of my ability and should pick up the recolour. I'd just like to know whether they a) show up as they should and b) if they look alright, as in there are no terrible graphical flaws

(insert standard warning about using files made by an incompetent n00b) :)

ETA: The shadow issue mentioned here is now fixed, thanks so much villamirabelle!
