Whee, spring
Sep. 30th, 2009 09:13 pmMostly because my sweetpeas are starting to flower, and I feel like showing everyone :D

See, I hold the theory that the Amazing Disappearing Bees thing is less to do withdarleks climate change, and far moar to do with the fact that flowers, sadly, just don't seem to be trendy at the moment. None of the four million grey little fucking enormous estates that are popping up like corpses have any sort of flowering garden. No, they all have some trendy little grassy plant and some white gravel. No flowers, thus no pollen, no nectar, and thus, no food for bees, thus, no bees. Or any of the many bird species that lurk around nomming the afore mentioned bug.
Thus I have decided in my arrogance to singlehandedly solve this ;) This basically involves pestering my mother into telling me how not to kill the plants, and both of us pestering Dad to build moar gardens. It's a hell of a lot of fun :D
(Plus, I am wholeheartedly of the opinion that there would be many less miserable arseholes in the world if there were a lot moar colourful things and flowers around. TOO MUCH GREY!)

All these are flowering too, it's really cool

Clearly not a flower, but lulzy magically appearing tomatoes. We never planted these, they just appeared and we left them for the amusement value. For magically appearing tomato plants, they've grown rather large and crazily, taking over the place.

And becaues I can, giant smelly rose :D It was massive by the time it opened fully and smelled gorgeous
