Nerds of a Feather...
Apr. 4th, 2009 09:01 pmYes, I live in a family of geeks, nerds and weirdos. Wouldn't have it any other way!
Supernova was today - which is a big anime/Sci-fi/pop culture con, if it weren't obvious enough - and my sister and I got talked into cosplaying as two incarnations of Rei from Neon GenesisEvangelion.
Bother of course wanted to get into the action, but chose instead to go as Turniphead from Howl's Moving Castle. Let it not be said that the boy has no taste!

Us at the beginning of the day.

Us up on stage..somewhat dishevaled after seven hours!

Sister's purchase of the day!

Bother and Howl. Howl's hair is sucky and needs to be MOAR POOFY!

Turniphead again with some Halo folks. You have no idea how disconcerting it was to have a female voice come from the Sangelli. SHe was awesome!

Mini Rei and Darth Vader. All kinds of epic!
And I cannot begin to express how fucking amazing my mother is for not only voluntarily putting mine and sister's together, but throwing Turniphead's together in less then 24 hours and coming with us :D

Ten bets that picture of your sister and Darth Vader is going to be her favorite picture as an adult. It's so adorable!

Date: 2009-04-07 07:39 am (UTC)Bother always comes up with awesome people to go as. He went as Ford Prefect to his school book week dress up, and as Lego characters for another thing.

(I can't really remember Evangelion, but your outfits look pretty cool too!)

Date: 2009-04-14 04:34 am (UTC)I can't believe that the costume that we literally threw together in less then a day for Bother was the biggest hit out of all of us :D
