Ah, mine are seven and ten years younger than me respectively. Only child-ism was fun for a while yes :D
I have no idea, it just seems to have turned out like that. Out of my nana's sister's three grandkids now, only one of them is a boy too. (I can't remember what relation they are to me, I get confused after cousins :P) I will be amused to see if that carries down through the rest of us.

We are a bizzare mix here - we seem to have kept moar brit stuff from Ye Olde Tiems, rather then adopting american stuff. We appear to have kept our own slang for the time being, though we do get a shitload of their tv (and yours), but that can only be a good thing. Australian television, except for a few noteworthy examples is pure garbage. Many people find it rather embarassing XD
