Short non-painted on men's hair that looks like it might only need straight bits and a good alpha (or steal-able curly bits and a good alpha) to be a totally rocking sane normal men's haircut?
The uv map in milkshape is telling me that it should only need straight bits to make up a good texture - and stealing curly bits and their respective alpha's is definately on my list. Needs moar curly hair!
There's another very similar hair to that one too in Ambitions that I plan to rip out and convert (Along with a bunch of others mind, but short hair that can merely be assigned to the head bone? YES) and practice on with the added bonus of NORMAL SHORT HAIR. Definately converting this one to female too.

Oooh, awesome. Just. Really super awesome. People have been saying that it's impossible to convert Sims 3 hairs, and I am thrilled to see that this may not, in fact, be true.
It's kinda sad I can't wait to Pooklet these, isn't it? Muck with alphas or steal Nouk's curls from Sport It Short or maybe Alfred's curls from Sport It Short and do all the shiny colors...

...would you believe that that was partially my motivation for at least trying it? I mean, I could run into some terrible issue further down the track (*touch wood*), but really, so long as you could get a hold of the original mesh files from TS3, it's feasible. I mean, they said that converting poser meshes to TS2 was/is impossible, and we all know how true that is.
I'm going for Alfred's curls myself, I like their slight messiness.

Alfred's curls are indeed pretty darned awesome.
(Mine are like that! Only sometimes they make no sense and sometimes they make too much sense, because apparently the perfect state to think about how Silent Hill works is a state of slight wobble.)
